A Bit About Us

and what we do

No Limits Learning Center offers site-based programs for adults with developmental disabilities who are at least 18 years of age. Our program was created from passion and runs on it as well. A passion for this community, their stories, their tenacity, and their right to a happy, healthy, independent life. We strive for these goals through a focus on continued education, responsibility, and integration into society. We offer six different levels of classes, a health and fitness program, and more. We also go on field trips and outings year round, and have several on campus events, from halloween parties, to valentines day dances, to Christmas shows. Our program runs year-round with designated holiday breaks. We believe we are setting a new standard for what a program can be, and more importantly, what it can do for this amazing community.

What time does program start?

Our program opens its doors for student drop offs as early as 7:30am (No earlier). Classes start at 9:00am. We ask that students be dropped off no later than 8:50am to allow students time to get situated before class starts.

What time does program end?

Our program ends at 2:00pm. We ask that students be picked up no later than 3:00pm. After 3:00pm, a $1.00 late fee will be applied every minute a student is not picked up.

After Hours Program runs from 2:30pm until 4:30pm. After 4:30pm, a $1.00 late fee will be applied every minute a student is not picked up.

Late fees must be paid within 24 hours and multiple offenses may result in dismissal from program.

Where do I pick up/drop off my student?

We have a pick up/drop off zone in the back of the building. Late arrivals after 9:15am should be dropped off in the front lobby. Early pick ups before 2:00pm should be picked up in the front lobby.

What are my transport options to and from program?

Primarily, our students are transported by ACCESS. ACCESS is a transportation component associated with OCTA. If a student does not qualify for ACCESS, private transportation by No Limits staff may be discussed.

What kind of lunch should students bring?

Currently, as a result of COVID-19, we are asking students to bring lunches that they can store in their personal lockers at program. This is to reduce social spaces such as refrigerators.

What cities/counties do you serve?

We primarily serve the North Orange County area, however, we have students coming from LA county, Inland Empire, and other surrounding counties.

Are you state funded?

Our most common source of funding is through the State of California.

Do you accept private pay?

We do accept private pay for students who are not clients through the Regional Center.

What monthly costs are involved?

We ask for a $25 monthly activities fee. This covers things such as lunch outings, field trips, and in program events. Our After Hours Program is optional, but has a $50 monthly flat fee.

What is the staff to student ratio?

Our staff to student ratio is 4:1.

Do you have a work program?

We do not currently have a work program. However, we do teach vocational skills within our class schedule. We also have unpaid, volunteer jobs that students can "apply" for throughout the center.

How many absences are permitted in a year?

For a full time student, 20 absences are permitted per school year.

Do you accept part-time students?

Due to staffing and ratio requirements, we do not offer a part-time option.

How is COVID-19 being handled at No Limits?

As a result of COVID-19, per Regional Center and CDC regulations, all students are currently required to wear masks, along with any unvaccinated staff. All seats in classrooms and in our lunch area are spaced out for social distancing. Students use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting classrooms. Classrooms and other social areas are also sanitized at the end of every day. Breaks and social times are monitored to maintain social distancing.
